Forests are power houses forming active reservoirs of natural life.  As a result it offers opportunities for all kinds of learning and uderstanding.  The Forest Heritage Centre offers a wide range of educational tours to suit all year levels, giving students the opportunity to engage with the natural environment.

We also customise tours for students at all levels covering class topics and specific curriculum requirements.

Our visual displays and videos are an excellent starting point for discussion, and hands-on activities can be enhanced using our computers, and electronic microscopes.

 

Our expert guides provide special opportunities to experience the forest and to learn about some of the mysteries of the local ecology.

  • Jarrah Forest Lodge

    The Forest Heritage Centre has incorporated the Lodge, which is a unique facility surrounded by jarrah forest on a 7 hectare block, only 600 metres from Dwellingup town centre. 

     Accommodation consists of 16 single rooms with shared bathroom facilities.  A large well equipped kitchen with a spacious dining room area seating up to 25 people, with a wood fire for those chilly winter nights.
